Fr. Apolonio "Pol" Catada
Hello! I am Father Apolonio “Pol” Catada, your new Parochial Vicar. It is with great honor to be part of this vibrant parish. This is my 4th Parish assignment since I arrived in U.S. way back 2018. Previously I was Parochial Vicar at St, Joseph Church, Lincoln (1 yr), Parochial Administrator of St. Francis of Assisi, Burney (3yrs), and Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph Church, Elk Grove (6 months). This year, it will be my 18th year as a priest and counting for more years in the ministry.
The seed of priestly vocation started by religious family background along with priest-friends encouragement and support. Priestly formation lasted 10 years in the making, 5 years for Bachelor in Education Major in Philosophy, 4 years for Masters in Theology and 1 year for Diaconal program. As ordained in the Military Diocese (Phil.) and called to Active Duty, I served this respected organization for 12 years ministering the Spiritual and Moral need of Sailors and Marines in the Navy.
In this uncertain time, I’m here to continue journey with you hoping that my ministry here will contribute shade light and inspiration, hope and comfort to us leading towards joy, sanctification and salvation of souls.
