St. Vincent Ferrer Mourns the Loss of a Staff Member
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of St. Vincent Ferrer's most loved staff and family members, Maria Victoria Garay. Victoria, as she was known here at St. Vincent Ferrer has been called home by Our Lord God on September 4, 2009 after a long battle with cancer.
Victoria served as the office manager for St. Vincent Ferrer Parish for the past year and was an office volunteer before that. One could always count on Victoria greeting you with her warm smile and outgoing personality, no matter how chaotic the day was going for her (on Monday's she could be heard singing "Just another manic Monday") she always wore her smile. And no matter how bad your day was going she had a way of making it better. Victoria would take the time to listen to anyone who needed to talk and offer help in any way she could. Victoria's humble, kind, loving, sincerity will always be remembered by those who were blessed to have known her.
Although we are deeply saddened by her passing we are thankful that she is no longer in any pain and she has gone home to Our Lord God. Our hearts and our prayers go out to all of Victoria's family, may God help them through this difficult time.
